Neblitzi are able to talk endlessly (mostly complaints and accusations of misconduct), an ability exacerbated by the fact that they require no sleep. Salivrasters, by contrast, need a lengthy sleep. They tend to thrash about violently in their sleep, often demolishing walls and furniture in the process. Therefore, the Neblitz (jar and all) is placed out on the front stoop at night. Social scientists note that there has never been a reported Neblitz theft.
